MSA to submit Wales Rally GB report to FIA
The MSA report, to be presented to the FIA World Council in March 2004, will look in particular at issues relating to road safety and the siting and use of speed cameras by the Mid and South Wales Safety Camera Partnership.

When the 2004 World Rally Championship calendar was issued earlier today, the FIA confirmed the Wales Rally GB`s new date at the end of September, subject to the approval of the MSA`s report.

“This year`s event was a huge success with a reduction of 70% in the number of safety camera incidents in the area of the special stages,” explains Colin Hilton, Chief Executive of the MSA. “We will continue to work closely with the Mid and South Wales Safety Camera Partnership to ensure that competitors and supporters drive with proper regard for local road conditions and that speed cameras are deployed in accordance with government guidelines.”
