|Davis, 37, has worked for the sporting department of the MSA for over 14
years, starting in the rally authorisation unit and currently as manager of
its competitions and clubs section. His section is responsible for issuing
some 4,500 official permits each year for events throughout the UK across
the 59 disciplines of motor sports governed and regulated by the MSA. Davis
will continue his important liaison work on behalf of the rallying and
off-road disciplines with the Land Access Rights Association and Rights of
Way Review Commission.
As part of his role in the secretariat, Davis will also become editor of the
`Blue Book`, the MSA`s yearbook and regulations. He takes over from Tony
Newsum who, after 15 years with the company, has decided to return to his
roots in Lincolnshire. Newsum will be retained by the MSA to continue to
represent its kart interests at the CIK and assist Ian edit the `Blue Book`.
