The Motor Sports Association has received communication from Formula Kart Stars (FKS) notifying it that FKS has had difficulty in ensuring sufficient quantity of control tyres and requesting a change to the regulations for the opening rounds of the MSA British Cadet Kart Championship at Kimbolton this weekend.
The Motor Sports Association has rejected this request and has confirmed that there will be no change to the regulations. Competitors will not be permitted to use anything other than the control tyre.
Since becoming aware of the problem, the Motor Sports Association has worked closely with Anderson CSK – the official UK distributor for Dunlop tyres – to ensure that there will be sufficient stocks of the control tyres for this weekend at Kimbolton.
