MSA British Rallycross Championship

 

Invitation to Tender

 

 

The Motor Sports Association (‘MSA’) is the governing body of motor sport in the United Kingdom.  The MSA authorise the National Championships in all disciplines of British motor sport and is the owner of the Intellectual Property Rights in the MSA and MSA British Championship titles.

 

The MSA is currently seeking proposals from interested parties to promote and organise the above Championship from the 1st January 2010 for a minimum period of 3 years under an agreement relating to the Championship title rights.

 

Any response to this invitation to tender should cover at least the following:

1.        The Championship Regulations, which must at least include

1.1)          Sporting and Technical Regulations.

1.2)          The Championship format including but not limited to the following:

·          The timetable of events.

·          The number of events and organising clubs.

·          The venues to be used.

·          The duration of the events.

1.3)          The MSA recognised Club (The Lead Club) for the Championship.

1.4)          The sporting and technical officials of the Championship.

2.        Full information as to the Championship organisers including their previous and current commercial activities, particularly in similar or related disciplines.

3.        How the Championships will be promoted.

4.        Sponsorship proposals for the Championship.

5.        A business plan for the Championship.

6.        An environmental policy for the Championship.

7.        Your offer of a fee for the Championship Title, including a payment schedule.

 

Please note that all Championships must run each year under a Championship Permit issued by the MSA to a recognised club (The Lead Club) and are subject to payment of a Championship Permit fee as detailed in Appendix 3 of the MSA blue book.  The Championship Permit fee is payable in addition to the Championship title fee.

 

In addition Events, forming the Championship, must be issued an individual Event Permit by the MSA which is subject to payment of an Event Permit fee, which is calculated based on the number of signed-on competitors (per-capita) as detailed in Appendix 3 of the MSA blue book, and where applicable, be held on tracks/circuits licensed by the MSA.

 

All competitors and senior officials must be licensed by the MSA.

 

The MSA has no obligation to accept any Tender proposal nor to enter into any agreement with anyone that submits a Tender Proposal.  Further, the tender process is subject to a written agreement being entered into with the successful tenderer.

 

Tenders should be delivered to the MSA no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 19th June 2009, marked for the attention of Andrea Butt.
