|There is now less than a week to go before the entry deadline for the fifth Renault MSA Young Motor Sport Journalist and Photographer of the Year awards closes. Two winners will each receive a cheque for £1,000.
Established by UK motor sport`s governing body, the Motor Sports Association, in 2002 with support from Renault UK Limited, the awards are designed to recognise and encourage the new generation of media working in four-wheeled UK motor sport, whether it be car racing, rallying, trials, autotest, hillclimb, karting, off-road, drag, sprint or rallycross competition.
All entries received by this Friday 1 December will be carefully considered by a panel of recognised experts from the sport and media. From there, the two winners will be invited to the MSA`s star-studded Night of Champions ceremony – attended by every champion in British motor sport in 2006 – to receive their cheques and a trophy. The prestigious award means the winners` names are recognised as emerging talents in the world of motor sport media.
To enter, candidates must have been aged 25 or under on 1 January 2006 and be able to demonstrate published work involving UK motor sport. They can come from local, regional, specialist or electronic media and are required to submit a minimum of three published articles or photographs from the UK media this year.
