Succesful Public Launch of Junior Trials Vehicle
Children from the age of 8-17 were first guided through a simple slalom so that their co-ordination and abilities could be assessed before walking a Trials Section with axle twisters a steep climb and descent and subsequently driving that section with a tutor walking alongside giving guidance.

Over 140 children went through the system over the weekend and there was much interest from parents and clubs alike.
We are grateful to the Cornwall and Devon Land Rover Club for providing the space and course, Kevin Mizen, Charles and Debby Derby, Simon and Mel Stemp for running the Launch, Paul Davis for the loan of his trailer, Southern Rover Owners Club for the loan of their club tent and valued help.

The draft regulations for the JTV were approved by the Motor Sports Council on the 6th June 2002 and are now published for comment.

The JTVs are now receiving some final tweaks before their next outing in July, details to follow.
