Invitation to Tender



The Motor Sports Association (‘MSA’) is the governing body of motor sport in the United Kingdom.  The MSA authorise the National Championships in all disciplines of British motor sport and is the owner of the Intellectual Property Rights in the MSA and MSA British Championship and MSA Event titles.


The MSA is currently seeking proposals from interested parties to promote and organise the above MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix (“the Event”) from the 1st January 2010 for a minimum period of 3 years under an agreement relating to the Event title rights.


Any response to this invitation to tender should cover at least the following:

1.        The Event Regulations, which must at least include

1.1)           Sporting and Technical Regulations.

1.2)           The Event format including but not limited to the following:

·          The timetable of events.

·          The organising club.

·          The venue to be used.

·          The duration of the Event.

1.3)           The MSA recognised Club (The Lead Club) for the Event.

1.4)           The sporting and technical officials of the Event.

2.        Full information as to the Event organisers including their previous and current commercial activities, particularly in similar or related disciplines.

3.        How the Event will be promoted.

4.        Sponsorship proposals for the Event.

5.        A business plan for the Event.

6.        An environmental policy for the Event.

7.        Your offer of a fee for the Event Title, including a payment schedule.


The Event must be issued an individual Event Permit by the MSA which is subject to payment of an Event Permit fee, which is calculated based on the number of signed-on competitors (per-capita) as detailed in Appendix 3 of the MSA blue book, and where applicable, be held on tracks/circuits licensed by the MSA.


All competitors and senior officials must be licensed by the MSA.


The MSA has no obligation to accept any Tender proposal nor to enter into any agreement with anyone that submits a Tender Proposal.  Further, the tender process is subject to a written agreement being entered into with the successful tenderer.


Tenders should be delivered to the MSA no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 19th June 2009, marked for the attention of Andrea Butt.
