|Following further tests with the new WTP B5 engine the introduction due for the 1st March 2006 will be deferred until further notice. Further restrictions are required to ensure the new engine is no faster than the current Comer W60 engine to ensure compatibility and to maintain a safe performance level for the Cadet category. John Mills Racing were informed of the criteria of the performance levels required at the ABkC meeting held in September 2005.
The WTP B5 engines have been given permission to race at the Trent Valley Kart club meeting to be held at PFI this weekend (4-5 March 2006) with further performance restrictions applied under the supervision of a senior MSA and ABkC official. We hope that further to more extensive tests this weekend the specification of the engine restrictions can be finalised and details will follow.
