BGP thanks to marshals
After an extraordinary race in the most challenging of conditions, the British Grand Prix again lived up to its reputation as one of the best events on the Formula One calendar. Lewis` inspired performance delivered an amazing home victory and we add our congratulations to those of the thousands of ecstatic fans.

On behalf of everyone involved in the organisation of the race, we would like to thank the huge number of people that worked tirelessly to make this weekend`s Grand Prix so successful. The UK is fortunate to boast some of the best officials and volunteers in the world and once again they demonstrated how to run a top class motor race, despite the testing weather conditions and frequent off-track excursions of the F1 drivers.

As the showpiece event of the season, the British Grand Prix is always an important advert for the sport. We hope that this weekend`s excitement will help to attract new recruits to motor sport and we would welcome anyone interested in getting involved as driver, volunteer or spectator to visit the new Go Motorsport website at

We are pleased to report that the marshals` prize draw was won by Tyrone Nicholson, a course incident marshal at Priory, who has been working at the Grand Prix since 1998. He receives a trip to a European Grand Prix of his choice next year.

With best personal regards
