|Their professionalism and commitment in the face of the most difficult weather conditions in recent times, once again reinforced Britain`s pre-eminence in the organisation of world championship events.
The event itself was a triumph and our thanks as ever go to the Welsh Assembly Government, the local Councils, the Forestry Commission, South and mid-Wales emergency services and all the other partners that work so hard with us to make it such a great success. In particular, the stage at the Millennium Stadium once again brought world class rally action to many people who may not previously have experienced such a spectacle.
Our congratulations go to winning driver Mikko Hirvonen, world champion Sebastien Loeb and Malcolm Wilson`s BP Ford World Rally Team who claimed the manufacturers` title for the second year running.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cardiff and Swansea in 2008.
